At TD Bank's award dinner in New York, guests sat around one large, multipronged table. With the absence of a stage, speakers—seated next to the employees they were lauding—stood at the table to make presentations.

At its annual employee appreciation event, TD Bank wanted the notion of a corporate family to be reflected in the party’s concept and decor. Tribbles Studio worked that message into the Wow Awards finale with framed photos of the night’s honorees in the reception area and a custom-built free-form table that seated all 125 guests.

Floral Designer Relaunches Studio as Event Space

Joining the ever-growing trend of vendor spaces turned into event venues is Tribbles Studio, originally a retail shop and currently home to the floral and event design company founded by Cara Stone-Pfeifer. The 1,500-square-foot venue holds as many as 74 people and is situated on West Broadway in TriBeCa, near restaurants such as Bouley, Odeon, and Landmarc.

A set of two glasses with a pitcher with a double-walled design that keeps hands from warming the drinks at Tribbles Home & Garden, in TriBeCa, appealed to his fervent need to keep drinks cool. “I’m such a temperature-control freak,” he said. For serving red wine, he liked a diminutive decanter for its size — a quartino, or a third of a bottle — and for the indentation on its base that makes it easy to grip when pouring.

 

Home and Garden Supplies, Carefully Pruned – New York Times

Tribbles Home and Garden is a family-run general store with a 21st-century sensibility. Two sisters, Cara Stone-Pfeifer, 46, an interior designer, and Elizabeth Rad, 48, a real estate developer, conceived the home-and-garden supply shop, which they opened in TriBeCa last month, as an alternative to a big-box superstore.
